When Is the Formula One Race in Las Vegas?

The 2024 Las Vegas Formula One Race is scheduled to be held from November 21, 2024, through November 23, 2024. The racetrack is the same as last year and winds its way on and around the Las Vegas Strip. The track goes by several different area resorts, including Caesars Palace and The Venetian. The track also winds around the Las Vegas Sphere.

What Are the Best Things To See at the Las Vegas F1 Race?

Some of the best things to see at the Las Vegas F1 Race include:

Las Vegas Grand Prix fan experience: This ultimate F1 fan experience is a free-ticketed event that includes F1 ACADEMY team appearances, live entertainment, food trucks, and more. Tickets are first-come, first-served.
The pits: The pits can provide a unique experience before, during, or after the races by learning and seeing what each race team does to get their drivers in and out of the pit as fast as possible.
The garages: If you have the opportunity to visit the garages, you can get up close with the cars and possibly meet some team members or even the drivers.
Driver meet and greets: Select venues may offer unique opportunities to meet drivers for photo ops and autograph sessions.
Daily entertainment in the different race zones: Each race zone has different types of entertainment throughout the Formula One event, including headliners OneRepublic, Alesso, and Ludacris at the T-Mobile Zone.

Of course, the best thing to see is the races themselves. The schedule for the 2024 Las Vegas Formula 1 will include practice rounds and qualifying rounds for the Ferrari Challenge Support Race Series and the Formula One Race. There will be two races for the Ferrari Challenge Support Race Series. The main event — the Formula One Race — will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 10:00 p.m.

Similar to last year, there are numerous Zones from which to view the race with different package options. For example, at The Venetian Zone, guests have several options, including viewing the race from a private suite or track-side viewing platform.

Just like last year, spectators will need Formula One Las Vegas tickets for each zone from which they want to view the race. This year, there are also several unique F1 experience ticket package options where you can view the race from multiple zones and venues each night of the race.

Most ticket packages include complimentary food, soft drinks, and water. Other perks may also be available depending on the specific ticket package purchased. Single-day admission and Caesars Palace Experience tickets do not include food and beverages. However, they will be available for purchase.

You also have other options for viewing the race, like at The Cosmopolitan, which is hosting official watch parties from its rooftop Boulevard Pool with live feeds of the race. Another option is to view the race from one of the Caesars Sportsbook locations or one of the sports bars on the Strip. The easiest way to get around the Las Vegas Strip for the F1 race is to use the Las Vegas Monorail. There are seven different stations along the Strip, including:

Benefits of Using the Monorail to Get Around the Strip During the F1 Races

Each station provides easy access to the different Formula One race zones, as well as the resorts and numerous attractions. You are within walking distance of the different events, racing zones, and other activities occurring before, during, and after the races.

Since trains run continuously and arrive every five to 10 minutes, the Las Vegas Monorail will be the quickest and best option for traveling along the Strip during the Las Vegas F1 race. Not to mention, with road closures and detours, traffic will be chaotic and highly congested.

The Las Vegas Monorail will run continuously from 7 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19th through 3 a.m. on Monday, November 25th. Trains arrive at stations every 8-10 minutes.

If you’re a Las Vegas resident, you can purchase local $1 single-ride tickets at a Monorail station customer service booth on every station EXCEPT Boingo Station at the Las Vegas Convention Center. We highly recommend that you purchase in advance because customer service booths are open for a limited times daily. If they’re closed, a full-price ticket is the only option to access the system. Monorail customer service booths will offer extended operating hours of 11a.m. to 11p.m. November 21 – 23.

Important Monorail rules to ride

LVGP weekend is going to be very busy on the Monorail system. Please review these rules to ensure a smooth experience.

Arrive early and pack patience: If you are parking somewhere to ride the Monorail to the race, please arrive at the station at least an hour in advance to account for lines and other delays.
Courtesy is contagious (and drinks spill): Remember, just like you, every rider is trying to get somewhere on the Monorail, and staff on the system truly do want to help get you to your destination. Please don’t bring open containers or anything else that can spill or leak.
Only you can prevent delays: It’s going to be busy. Please don’t try to crowd into an already full train, and don’t hold train doors open — these cause system alarms, which immediately stop all trains until the alarm is cleared. Alarms = delays, and delays = bad.
Electronic tickets: Please purchase discounted tickets if you’d rather have an electronic ticket to scan from your phone. We apologize, but local tickets are not available electronically.
