The 2023 Sick New World Music Fest is bound to be one of the most exciting concerts in Las Vegas this summer. This music festival is bringing together some of the most beloved alternative and emo bands from the early 2000s — many of which err on the more aggressive side of these genres — and is guaranteed to be an amazing time. Although this may be the festival’s debut, it will most likely become an annual event, given its stacked lineup of high-energy performers and how quickly this first event sold out.
What is the Sick New World Music Fest?
The Sick New World Music Fest is every early 2000s emo kid’s dream music festival. This all-day event will host some of the biggest names from the beginning of the 21st century. Many of us have enjoyed this style of music at one point in our lives (and likely still to this day) — if you say you don’t try to sing both vocalist parts in Evanescence’s hit “Bring Me to Life,” you’re lying.
Who will be performing at the Sick New World Music Fest?
The short answer to this question is pretty much all your favorite emo and alternative bands. The headliners of the Sick New World Music Fest include:
- System of a Down
- Evanescence
- Incubus
- Korn
- Deftones
- Papa Roach
- Death Grips
- Skinny Puppy
- Hoobastank
These headliners aren’t the only reason to attend the Sick New World Music Fest, as the full list of artists includes some heavy hitters within the alternative music realm.

Where is the Sick New World Music Fest?
The Sick New World Music Fest is set to take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, located on the “North Strip” of the Vegas Strip — which is found on the southwest corner of Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard.
The Las Vegas Festival Grounds, as its name implies, is a popular venue selected to host various Las Vegas music festivals and Las Vegas concerts. This multi-purpose outdoor venue is located extremely close to the infamous Vegas Strip, making it a fantastic location for concertgoers to experience the party capital of the world while also rocking out to their favorite bands!
The festival grounds can accommodate nearly 80,000 guests for each event and takes up about 40 acres of land. This huge venue space ensures that concertgoers are comfortable during the performances by providing a variety of accommodations, including several food and beverage vendors and water refill stations for attendees to remain fed and hydrated. The Festival Grounds also have adequate shaded space to keep the venue at a cool temperature and to prevent concertgoers from overheating by standing in the hot Nevada sun all day.
Las Vegas Monorail
In addition to the close proximity to the Vegas Strip, another great part of Sick New World being held at the Festival Grounds is the accessibility to the Las Vegas Monorail. While this public transportation system may not have stops directly at the entrance of the Festival Grounds, it remains one of the best methods of travel to access the venue! Sick New World attendees can travel on the Las Vegas Monorail to the Sahara Station. From this point, it is just a short trip over the pedestrian bridge and a short walk down Las Vegas Boulevard to get right to the festival’s entrance gates.
The Las Vegas Monorail will provide a safe and easy travel option for concertgoers to quickly access the Sick New World Music Festival from any of the local hotels or other spots along the Vegas Strip. The Las Vegas Monorail offers many different options for getting around Vegas, including single trip passes or day passes, so concertgoers can purchase whichever option is most suitable for their plans to attend the Sick New World Music Fest.
It’s more than a phase
Whether you want to admit it or not, almost all of us went through a phase where we absolutely loved alternative, emo music. The lyrics, chord progressions, and styles of the bands performing at the Sick New World Music Fest will all certainly be able to put attendees in a nostalgic state of mind — one in which Hot Topic clothing and heavy side parts were completely acceptable and all the rage. Don’t miss what is bound to be one of the most exciting Las Vegas concerts! Start planning your Vegas trip today!
